I was inspired to become a community cleanup volunteer by some friends who run a cleanup in the neighborhood.  Quickly hooked on the activity, I’ve gone on to organize my own semi-annual local cleanups and, ultimately, to make the tidying up of my neighborhood a habit.  If I see litter, I collect it and dispose of it properly.  This blog is a platform to discuss litter pickup and other related
subjects and perhaps to inspire others.  Cleaning up the neighborhood is a surprisingly satisfying activity, and the community (any community) can always benefit from a tidying up.  Sometimes it just takes a spark.
